“Breaking the Ice….Maiden!” 

Bethenny’s beau has broken the ice. He reveals his true feelings: “I’m ready and you’re the right woman for me.” Certainly, this is a great and beautiful thing to say. What’s less certain is if Jason was ready for Bethenny’s response. When a man expresses his feelings, and says he wants to move in with you, my guess is he expects a nice warm kiss and a hug in return. But before that happens, she decides to share her feelings with him: she’s complicated, difficult, tortured, damaged, and “mentally disturbed”. Talk about full disclosure! 

Perhaps Jason should consider heading to Ikea to start shopping for things to furnish their separate bedrooms! This isn’t what a man wants to hear. 

But, it’s just a typical Bethenny moment.  Perhaps when she says she’s tortured, she means she’s “touched.” Complicated means comfortable. Damaged means delighted. Mentally disturbed means… well, it’s Bethenny!! She’s testing him.  She wants him to know that the goods are damaged, but she’s obviously flattered at the prospect of living together — enough to work in a plug for her book!

Can Jason (or any man) satisfy the insatiable ambitious Bethenny?  Will she be happy with both: career and cohabitation?  We can only wait and see as the drama unfolds.

“Cooking with the Countess”

Oh, how I love these ladies. The season premier finally aired last week, cranking up the heat and introducing a whole new set of dynamics. I wasn’t able to make the Twitter Party but in looking through the tweets, it seems like you guys had a great time without me! The clip we previewed last week looks like it was just a warm-up for more drama ahead.

Now we’re on to Wife Lesson #3 — I call it “Cooking with the Countess”. In LuAnn’s world, you must look fabulous and wear designer clothes when learning how to cook. I’ve apparently been wearing the wrong cooking gear all this time. Now I know. I believe LuAnn has a special section for cooking attire in her book. Everyone needs “cooking pumps”.

LuAnn is helpless and hapless in the kitchen, relying on Rosa (her hired help) for everything. The Cuisine Queen can’t be expected to bend down in that Michael Kors dress to clean up a spill!

The girls begin the cooking adventure with the requisite glass of wine. I’m thinking it’s a secret type of appetite suppressant. When Bethenny and LuAnn stand together they look like the number eleven!

I love the fact that Bethenny knows how to make one of the most fattening dishes known to all mankind, while her book focuses on recipes for naturally thin people. Bacon, eggs, and pasta have never been a cellulite cure, but that doesn’t matter. I’m sure Bethenny and LuAnn enjoyed (at most) two bites between the two of them!

Rosa (the help) struggles to keep up with the mayhem, but finds a moment to offer some dating advice for Bethenny: just be yourself. Does that mean Bethenny will end up dating someone like Simon Cowell?
